On Tuesday, 22nd of April, we are delighted to organize a very special dinner putting in perspective the superb work of two remarkable estate, Marie-Thérèse Chappaz in the Swiss Valais and Le Pas de l'Escalette in the Terrasses du Larzac, Languedoc.
This is an exercise I love to do : connecting the wines of soulful vigneronnes and vignerons usually not associated, and suddenly discovering new tastes, new perspectives, new landscapes. There are of course common points that bridge them : a dedicated, thoughtful biodynamic farming, an incredible mountainous terroir, a preserved biotope, a delicate touch in the cellar, a will to respect and transcend - in other words, to quote their importer @adrianchalk, "Altitude with attitude"! During the dinner, you will be able to taste the magical complexity of the Valais with Greg Devillers representing the grande dame of the region, Marie-Thérèse Chappaz, and to really appreciate why the Terrasses du Larzac is one of the most remarkable mediterranean terroirs in France with Delphine Rousseau.
It will be a special occasion, with wines brought just for the occasion. If you like white with density, tension and clarity, and red with this combination of delicacy, layers and precision, you will have a blast with this line-up.
